In Greensboro, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across North Carolina, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Apparently the paper you sign when you come in as a voluntary commission for crisis management means NOTHING when you actually get fed up with the HOURS of waiting for someone to interview you, have your vein blown because the nurse doing the poke drags the needle through your arm instead of finding a different vein, be told youll be allowed to go home after "this" and "this" are done, just to find out you were lied to and were involuntarily committed by one of the staff AFTER asking to leave and being told "its all part of the process". Im still debating on whether or not I should get a lawyer involved because they handed me a paper that said theyre not liable for anything that happens, given the circumstances for my admission, should I choose to leave at any point during the admission process, you voided that document against EVERYONES knowledge and consent, you manipulate mentally ill people in crisis like theyre children, and your communication skills at shift change both here and at the CBHH across town are trash. I shouldn't have to have a doctor's order to take my birth control pills just because "its protocol", your protocol is to push people to a breaking point to keep med

My psychologist Margley carrion carrero is the most wonderful psychologist and she does her job well. I hate she is leaving and I have to start with someone new.

Everyone we have encountered here has been excellent. We went to the walk-in clinic upstairs and they were able to get my son an appointment the next morning after a cancellation. All of the staff upstairs were very friendly, caring, and reassuring.

Guilford County Behavoiral Health is a great place to start your mental healing. Brittany, Kim, and all the staff at the front desk are the the first faces you see and that is a blessing. Everytime I walked into the facility on the second floor I am welcomed with kindness and warmth. This place saved my life. They can show you how to put in the work and they can help you become a better you.

The outpatient office upstairs is truly amazing. They are so kind, helpful, and make everyone coming in feel welcome and not judged. Brittney, especially, lightens my day atleast once a week and their whole team works hard to provide our community with mental health needs. Getting outside help can be embarrassing and I will forever appreciate the upstairs (outpatient) providers for not shaming me and creating a safe atmosphere~ and for keeping me sane enough to stay out of downstairs.

The upstairs adult unit is wonderful. The receptionist are very kind, Patient, and helpful. The doctors and nurses very transparent and informative when it comes to my medicines and overall treatment. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who needs help. My only complaint is that I can't give 10 stars to the upstairs staff they really deserve it.

Iβve been receiving services here for almost 2 years now and can confidently say that Iβve been very happy with my providers. Having the option of virtual appointments has made my mental health journey through motherhood both accessible and easier to navigate. My providers have always been there to answer my questions and have helped me thrive. Definitely the most valuable resource Guilford County offers, this center and their services have quite literally saved my life.

Ditto to what Craig said....If I was unstable BEFORE I got there, I was unstable as hell "trying to get out". The staff was great, professional and friendly, even the "wand security gal" was nice...doing their job...but SLOW AS MOLASSES. 4 HOURS just to tell me to discuss my breakdown more with my primary or therapist.....I promise you....NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN. Couldn't even get a snack in between waiting bc they had my damn phone and couldn't tell what time it was because they locked up my damn watch......wasn't all that serious π
